Following the hit vinyl release on Vanina Hänin, Lagarderes Pharaoh returns digitally, with a massive high quality musical treasure, bringing you exclusive new remixes from visionary talented artists - Paris The Black Fu (aka Detroit Grand Pubahs), Lad, Davidovitch and Dave The Hustler - opening again the Pharaohs secret tomb filled to the brim with more shining golden electronic gems.

No need to mention that on top of this stands the original mix - if you missed it, dont cry, it is still rolling on this deep fat bass colored by arabic percussions, along with a crazy unforgettable synth main theme that will take you on an hypnotic dancing journey - on its side, Touanes remix (already featured on the vinyl release), revisits the Pharaohs secret pyramids stone corridors and rooms, with a tough techno track slowly developing to reach an unpredictable climax with - just maybe - the pharaoh himself, whispering through crispy hi-hats and spiraling basses.

Four stunning additional visions take part to the Pharaohs final procession.

Lads electronica remix, takes you on an abstract hip-hop mad trip, pitching up and crushing down Pharaohs original material in a highly personal and stupendous music piece unveiling yet unknown sound dimensions, while Davidovitch explores the untold secrets carried by the desert wind in a haunting dubby remix rolling on a deep, mental, soulful, hypnotic melodic bassline - that only he knows how to cook - spiced up with cristal percussions and organic waves enlightening the sky as the warmness of the day gives place to the mysterious coldness of the night.

Paris The Black Fu (aka Detroit Grand Pubahs) hits the floor with a pumping powerful techno track, breathing like an unstoppable industrial steam metal machine moving through magma deserts, operated by thousand of sweating bodybuilders & space galerians. And finally, Dave The Hustler invites us to an arabic electronic belly dance performance, one night in Cairo, faithful to his pumping compositions and to his drum programming & unbeatable style. Danceable till the sun rises up and goes down again and again on the cityscape.

Definitively a highly recommended release for an exciting, mad and unique electronic summer journey!

About the artist

Photobucket

It would be difficult to categorize Lagardere, to put him in a box and to label him with a style well defined. His music is influenced by funk, jazz, hip-hop, techno. It is definitively the music in all its spectrum which revitalizes him every day and which he loves to distil with strength and a deep soul through his charmingly visionary sets and his productions.

Lagardere has mastered his own musical vision without any strict genre boundaries. He has released tracks on Villa Magica, Vanina Hänin, Kawaya Music, Ai Records, Viking Music, and has brought to life numerous projects such as Subtone Trio, an electrojazz combo with his father, and the infamous electrorock combo The Living Dead Boys.
